Drug Inspector — CDSCO / State Drug Control
The pathSkills
Enforcing the Drugs and Cosmetics Act for CDSCO or a state drug-control department: inspecting manufacturing plants, auditing pharmacies, collecting samples, and prosecuting counterfeit operations. Highly selective — you must clear UPSC or State PSC exams, and inspecting Schedule C manufacturing requires 18 months of prior manufacturing/testing experience, which forces most candidates through industrial QC/QA first. Very high stability and status; anchored to the 7th Pay Commission.
