A 2-year master's in a planning specialization at SPA / CEPT / IITs / NITs. It raises the ceiling for government promotion, senior consultancy, academia and the development sector, and a large share of B.Plan grads pursue it to escape the fresher-ceiling. Entered via GATE (AR) or institute exams.

For government promotion, academia and senior roles, materially yes. SPA / CEPT PG medians are closer to ₹5–7 LPA, with higher upside in specialized quantitative tracks.
