You help run the trials that test new medicines. You visit study sites to check that the data is correct and the rules are followed. Later, you manage whole trials. Pay grows well and the work matters a lot. The main downside is travel.

Yes. A B.Pharm or a life-sciences background is enough to start as a Clinical Research Associate. Some basic knowledge of ICH-GCP helps. Many people first start as a site-based Clinical Research Coordinator and move up from there.
